Henderson OST Plan: Formatted Page Turn

Comments are due by July 19 for us to address comments and turn around an updated Public Draft by August 1.

A few notes on this draft:

  • Captions: we have some of the caption locations but not all so those would be helpful for you to weigh in on.
  • Action Plan: The Action Plan Table is new but is made up of all the recommendations in the Catalyst Projects and the Non-site specific projects. Please review the timeframe and implementation lead/partners.
  • References/sources: We started an appendix with all the reference links. We’ll continue to finalize the sources throughout the document and in the appendix.
  • There are a few graphics that have red text and will be finalized in the next week or so.

That is shown in the drainage standard
Reorganize this category as discussed during coordination meeting.
Image seems distorted.
Missing scale.
Consider color coding the types of projects per category on the map.
Make it plural.
Make it plural.
Please improve the layout and presentation of this page. It is poorly arranged. Consider adding a collage of photos from various catalyst projects.
SNPLMA funded projects too.
Use right name please.
Need photo here. Please add.

I agree. Please adjust layout of this page.
Missing title, source, and scale. Please remove pine trees and replace with a native tree.
Incomplete content.
Missing design standards here. Please add.
Same as previous comments. Missing title, source, and scale.
Same as other graphics, missing title, source, and scale.
This title should be revised to say: "Summerlin Master Planned Community Criteria for Natural Washes Preservation"
Can the consultant provide the safe separation?
Same comment as previous trailhead. Missing source, scale, and title.
For how many bikes?
Add "parking"
Possibility to add 3D renderings of the trailheads?
Missing scale, graphic source, and title.
Add bike repair station per description of trailhead?
For how many bicycles?
Just one?
Add "parking"
Missing to include design standards. These can be environmentally friendly amenities.
This page has a large amount of empty white space. perhaps moving the picture lower might make it more appealing
In addition to definition and principles, also add purpose.
What about the Equestrian Trails?
Based on previous sections, missing to include desert edges and corridors.
Again, Nature or Natural Areas? Please revise for consistency of terms.
Each trail graphic should be customized to match definitions. In this case, it is in a hilly area where it is less likely to have tall trees but more rocky mountains. Please consider desert environment and revise graphics accordingly.
Revise trail graphics per Amie's comments.
Based on the above definition, neighborhood trails are wide sidewalks within residential or commercial developments. But the graphic does not match the definition. Please revise graphic accordingly to show developments and roadways.
Please clarify this definition. Seems that we are talking about enhanced sidewalks. The typical sidewalk is 5ft wide, so it won't hurt to elaborate on the description.
Please note that the first chapter says that we aren't addressing these types of trails on this plan. Please clarify.
Are the neighborhood trails equivalent to the neighborhood paseos that we have in the Development Code?
See previous comment on concept plan layout. Will help to provide more clarity and less vague content.
In addition to the cross section, consider adding concept plan layout of the trails as well along drainageways or utility easements as described.
See previous comment on trail amenity's location? Please display for reference.
Where would the trail amenities be located? Please indicate benches, interpretative signage, trash enclosure, etc.
Please keep all trail cross sections same scale.
Missing: scale, graphic title, and graphic source. Please add to all trail cross sections.
Add "Purpose".
In addition to the Definition, add Purpose as well. Description for Purpose is already provided, just add sub-title.
Should start describing Open Spaces first for consistency throughout the document and then Trails.
