The public draft of the 2023 State Enhanced Hazard Mitigation Plan is available for public comment! Comment on the draft plan online and/or join us at one of our plan review events from now until early November. 

THE DEADLINE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT IS NOVEMBER 18TH

Public Open House Events for the Plan will be held at the following:

  • Washington County, St. George | October 18th 6 - 8 PM
  • Salt Lake County, Salt Lake City | October 24th 6 - 8 PM  
  • Davis County, Farmington | October 25th 6 - 8 PM  
  • Utah County, Provo | November 9th 6 - 8 PM

Spanish and the other top languages spoken in the state of Utah in addition to English. Utah is becoming more diverse and will need to tailor plans and outreach efforts to reach our differing groups of families.

Plan needs to be in Spanish for accessibility. Often language barriers are the greatest barriers to reaching certain groups which puts them at greater risk of being lost and in danger in the event of a hazard, whether catastrophic or minor.
