Note: My goal here was to say that new development integrates with both existing development and the natural spaces. (to encourage integrative landscaping, use of existing trees in redevelopments, etc.) in addition to preserving natural spaces.

Suggested edit: Grows thoughtfully, encouraging new development that integrates cohesively with existing neighborhoods and the City's natural spaces.

I'm not sure that the word "encouraging" is the right word here. It's a bit like the word "considering" where it feels ambiguous and too easy to ignore.

I really like these changes. I would change the last sentence to "We strive on protecting the needs of future generations while preserving what is valued today."

I'm still unclear on the word sustainability. While I personally would love to see the city become more sustainable, I feel like the response from the survey so far was underwhelming on specific action items to promote environmentally sustainability - with the exception of people wanting more active transportation paths and more native landscaping. When I think of sustainability, I think of more EV charging requirements, promoting all-electric energy, promoting Energy Star and other green building techniques, less car-centric development, etc. I think it would be helpful to zero in on what we really plan to achieve here.

We have preserved our character as a beautiful and unique residential community that is safe, family-friendly and a highly desirable place to live, work and play. We value our rich history and we pride ourselves on providing neighborhood service rooted in earlier traditions. Sustainability is important to us as Holladay city changes and evolves. We strive on considering the needs of future generations while protecting what is valued today. (Just some thoughts)
